Daphné Truan, PhD

Daphné Truan is a scientific advisor specializing in protein design, biologics and vaccines discovery, and R&D portfolio strategy. With over a decade of experience at the interface of science, business development, and operations, she helps organizations accelerate the development of biologics and vaccines, from target identification to preclinical candidate selection, while aligning scientific innovation with commercial and operational priorities.

Drawing on her background in physics (Ing Dipl Phys & MSc EPFL) and structural biology (PhD ETHZ), Daphné combines deep scientific expertise with strong operational and strategic acumen. She has built and led intercontinental teams in large pharma environments, implemented bioinformatics platforms, launched cross-functional taskforces applying AI/ML to de novo antibody design and developability assessments, and guided data and portfolio strategies for protein-based therapeutics and vaccines discovery workflows.

In parallel with her consulting activity under bioDesyn, Daphné is completing an EMBA at IMD and contributes to the strategic and operational development of SCCH Domus, a cooperative focused on housing construction. These experiences expand her expertise in finance, governance, and digital strategy, complementing her scientific advisory work and strengthening her ability to guide organizations at the intersection of science, strategy, and business outcomes.
